"The figure is a container, where spirituality meets physicality. The body is a vessel for the spirit, and a known catalyst to usher us into the unknown. Life size Figures in space painted with an evident way of mark making with a natural yet surreal tone. These objects and poses that I paint are gleamed through vigorous research of art history, Christian art, and Biblical history. There is an honest anxiety in my paintings that is not aggressive, but it instead denotes psychosis.. Painting is the closest I can get to understanding the spiritual in our everyday and sometimes distant world."
